IT Infrastructure & Managed Services Engineer

About the Position

Gannett Peak Technical Services is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure & Managed Services Engineer to support our internal technology infrastructure and our growing Managed IT Services practice.

This position offers an opportunity to work across cloud infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, Microsoft 365, and IT operations. You will support Gannett Peak's internal systems while providing technical services to business and government clients.

We are looking for a versatile, self-directed IT professional who enjoys solving problems, improving systems, and taking ownership of technical environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain internal servers, networks, cloud resources, endpoints, and supporting infrastructure.
• Support Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments, including user management, email, security, and administration.
• Manage Windows systems, identity and access management, backups, monitoring, and endpoint security.
• Provide technical support and infrastructure management for Managed IT Services customers.
• Configure and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, switches, wireless networks, and related infrastructure.
• Support Azure-hosted infrastructure, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and security services.
• Implement security best practices, vulnerability remediation, patch management, and system hardening.
• Develop technical documentation, operational procedures, and automation to improve service delivery.
• Participate in client onboarding, infrastructure assessments, and technology improvement projects.

Qualifications

Required

• 1+ years of professional experience in IT systems administration, infrastructure engineering, or managed IT services.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Windows environments.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and firewalls.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Familiarity with endpoint management, backup solutions, and security tools.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot technical problems and communicate effectively with clients.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Preferred

• Experience working for a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
• Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, and Azure administration experience.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace administration.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting and infrastructure automation.
• Knowledge of security frameworks, vulnerability management, and compliance requirements.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure, CompTIA Network+, Security+, or equivalent.
